'The Regional View' by Peter Raynes

It was very pleasing to see such a positive article regarding the natural beauty of The Sandstone Ridge within the Spring 2019 edition of 'Cheshire Viewpoint'; the newsletter of the Cheshire Branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) and which is produced twice annually.

Written by Peter Raynes, the CPRE's NW Regional Group Chair, his article considers that it is high time that the Sandstone Ridge's Natural Beauty is recognised.

He also considers that, without doubt, the Sandstone Ridge meets all the necessary criteria for consideration as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Peter recommends readers visit our Sandstone Ridge Website and come along to the Cheshire Branch AGM which will be held on 9 May at Willington Hall Hotel and where Andrew Hull, Chair of the Sandstone Ridge Trust, will be addressing the AGM on 'Towards a Sense of Place — Transforming the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge'.
