There are lots of ways to volunteer with the Sandstone Ridge Trust.

We are committed to volunteering and to our volunteers, and we make every effort to ensure that all volunteers are treated consistently, equally and fairly. Read our Volunteer Policy for more detail.

There's lots of scope ...

  • Leading guided walks
  • Practical conservation tasks such as woodland management, grassland restoration, wetland restoration, hedgerow planting
  • Access improvements including footpath repair, stile installations, way-marking and fencing
  • Wildlife surveys and archaeological research
  • Photographic monitoring
  • Media and communications activities, for example, helping to design and draft newsletters, writing blogs and keeping websites up to date.

These are exciting times for you the Trust — following the successful conclusion of the Ridge: Rocks and Springs project, we are midway through another Heritage Lottery funded project in which we are exploring ways to secure the long-term future of the area.
