'Turner 250' is a year-long festival, celebrating the life and work of Joseph Mallard William Turner.
Throughout the country, a series of exhibitions and events will mark the anniversary of his birth and explore the contributions of this remarkably talented individual.
Born in London on 23 April 1775, Turner was considered to be one of the greatest Romantic artists, famous for his landscapes and seascapes.
And, as many of you know, Turner had links with the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge.
We have previously featured the work of Turner in our 'Footprints on the Ridge'.
