We have been overwhelmed by your good wishes, words of congratulations and support in relation to this week's announcement regarding plans for the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge to be designated as a future Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
We are thrilled to have been recognised in this way.
Some 21 proposals were considered and, as you will now know, just two were put forward as potential new areas for designation, whilst a further two were extended.
- A new Cheshire Sandstone Ridge AONB
- A new Yorkshire Wolds AONB
- An extension to the Surrey Hills AONB
- An extension to the Chilterns AONB
