A Valiant Effort by All!

With a 'Yellow' category weather warning throughout the entire weekend and with a torrent of rain (most of which appeared to fall directly over the Sandstone Ridge and Bolesworth Castle), we should applaud the CarFest North Team in their valiant efforts to keep everything on track during the Charity Festival Weekend.

The unrelenting rain presented some daunting challenges — mud, mud and yet more mud!

Everyone worked round the clock to help ease the worsening conditions on site and their efforts will continue today as individuals pack up and make for home.

  • The CarFest Team, their Marshals and their volunteers, have mustered the support of local farmers/tractors and will be assisting anyone who requires towing off the site.
  • Yet more metal track-way is being installed to assist in exiting the site and new exit routes out of the car parks have also been created.
  • This is in addition to the huge volumes of straw, wood chip and track-way that were installed as the weather continued to deteriorate.
  • There is likely to be some delay during Monday morning BUT weather conditions have improved, albeit that the ground is absolutely saturated.

The CarFest North Team thank you for your patience, your words of encouragement and your support.

Importantly, you kept smiling throughout and, typically, the sun is shining today!!
