The Sandstone Ridge Walk and Ride Festival was blessed with terrific weather as over 30 horses and riders participated in our first event on the Oakmere Way Circular Ride on Saturday morning.

Locals combined with riders from Stafford, Sandbach, Poynton, Ormskirk and Wales.

Let the image speak for itself – the circular route incorporated Oakmere Way, a dedicated bridleway, and part of the Delamere Loop and Delamere Forest.

Thank you to everyone for your fantastic feedback – you all appreciated having a well signed route that wasn't too long and you all welcomed the 'friendly and smiling stewards'.

Our thanks to the Mid Cheshire Bridleways Association.

Very positive comments have also tumbled in from Kath Gee who was leading our 'Landscapes, Features and Viewpoints Walk at Foxhill' on Saturday afternoon.

Keep sending us your fantastic images throughout the week.

So, we are up and running everyone!

There are still some places available on the 21 events that we have listed – you can still book an event using the Eventbrite facility – events roll off the system the night before a scheduled event.

We look forward to seeing you – best wishes from the Sandstone Ridge Trustees.
