However, we ask that everyone continue to be vigilant and if you are planning to be out and about on the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge (particularly during the school half term holidays), then it would be wise to be well prepared.

Walking on the Ridge is not to be recommended during high winds and heavy rain, both of which are likely to continue in the short term.

You can expect surface debris in several locations, with trees uprooted and the ground saturated.
