Frodsham is the northern gateway to the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge.
Whilst Frodsham holds an 'Annual Festival of Walks' event, the 2021 Festival comprised a set of 'self led' walks because of the Covid-19 emergency.
The walking routes and activity ideas are intended to inspire, motivate and encourage you to get out walking.
Published are a series of downloadable 'local' walks that start and/or finish in Frodsham CLICK HERE.
Each walk is classified in terms of distance/degree of difficulty/anticipated time to complete and includes a map.
EASY
On generally well-maintained, level surfaces. Suitable for less confident walkers, families with young children, or those simply looking for a short stroll. Up to 2 miles.
LEISURELY
Mainly on gentle gradients but possibly including steps, stiles, unsurfaced paths or longer distances (up to 6 miles). Walking boots and waterproof clothing may be useful.
MODERATE
May include some steep paths, open country or longer distances (up to 10 miles). Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing recommended.
