Many of us are more conscious of how much our well-being is connected to the natural world.

With less travel and limited socialising during the Covid pandemic, many of us sought a connection with nature and the great outdoors.

Whilst out walking and cycling we have feasted on the beauty of areas, not previously explored.

No more so than right here on the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge which has certainly seen an increase in visitor numbers.

And the rewards have been wonderful.

Whether it has been the publicity on re-wilding, the need for increased numbers of pollinators, or the 'No-mow May Campaign', the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge is currently covered in species-rich meadows.

As the heatwave comes to its end in the next few days, just take a closer look at the diversity right here on our doorstep.
