We continue to seek your help, particularly since during the pandemic and with time on your hands, you might just have been sorting out old images and/or using the various genealogy sites which have been offering free access.
Keen to record The Sandstone Ridge as it was, and as it now is, we would love to hear from you if you have any old images and/or postcards of The Ridge.
We are also very keen to have any agricultural and/or farm specific photographs/postcards.
Today, we feature an image with which you can all relate.
The black and white image shows Beeston Castle (a landmark on the Ridge with which we are all familiar).
Images such as these provide a fascinating social and economic history of an area.
So, we ask you to have a good look through your drawers and cupboards and please contact us in support of this Pictorial History 'Then' and 'Now' project – if you find any old images of 'Times Past' then please let us know via the contact button. We look forward to hearing from you.
