An 11km (6.5 mile) circular walk, following mainly footpaths across fields, in beautiful countryside from The Shady Oak Pub, near Beeston Castle.
Walking near Beeston Castle, then on footpaths west of the Peckforton Hills. There are a number of stiles and an ascent over the Peckforton Hills before returning across fields, country lanes and finally the Sandstone Trail to the start of the walk. The walk could be muddy in places. There is one fairly steep ascent and a more gentle descent over the Peckforton Hills.
A Marie Curie representative is leading the walk and donations are welcome after the walk. Booking in advance is essential. Suitable for children over 12 if accompanied by an adult.
