You may recall that we previously featured an article on the proposed modernisation work relating to the Vyrnwy Aqueduct.

Since its completion in 1892, the Vyrnwy Aqueduct, which runs from Lake Vyrnwy through to Merseyside, has helped deliver clean drinking water to customers and communities across Cheshire, Merseyside and the North West region.

The pipeline now requires modernisation to maintain the quality of drinking water and to reduce the number of water discoloration events.

Modernisation work is to be split into three sections, some of which is right here on the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge;

*Malpas to Tarporley (2023-2025)
*Tarporley to Norton (2023-2027)
*Norton to Prescot (2025-2027)

Drop-In sessions are now available during the next 2/3 weeks and in a number of locations on the Ridge; Tarporley, Malpas, Frodsham, Delamere etc.
