The Ridge forms a distinctive spine which curves from Frodsham (gateway in the north) to Malpas (gateway in the south).

Tarporley lies at the 'Heart of the Ridge'.

The Ridge spans both Unitary Authorities – CWaC (88%) and Cheshire East (12%).
