When you are out walking on The Sandstone Ridge this Easter, pause a while at 'Kitty's Stone' on Bickerton Hill.

This magical viewpoint is dominated by a touching memorial known as 'Kitty's Stone'.

Kitty, for those of you who don't know, was the wife of Leslie Wheeldon who helped the National Trust acquire the northern end of Bickerton Hill back in 1991. A memorial plaque honours her and hopes that 'others enjoy these Cheshire Hills as much as she did'.

Also from this vantage point, is a wonderful view of Brown Knowl Methodist Church, a Grade II listed building,

So too, is the view of a working farm owned by Steve Wild. one of our Farmers in the Sandstone Ridge Farmer Network. His farm is located immediately below you. Steve has diversified to include 3 spectacular Holiday Boutique Lodges which are located at the foot of Bickerton Hill and which are known as 'Kitty's View Country Lodges'.

The Lodges combine comfort, style and luxury, complete with hot tubs, stone flag patios and stylish outdoor furniture where you can enjoy the spectacular views across to the The Ridge. This is a truly special location to unwind and relax deep in the heart of this remarkable landscape. CLICK HERE for further information.
