In celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022, Bolesworth Estate and Tattenhall Wildlife Group (TWiG) have marked this remarkable and historic event with the planting of a young Oak Tree.
This represents partnership working at its best.
On Tuesday 31 May and in quite brilliant sunshine, Nina Barbour, Managing Director of Bolesworth Estate, with some members of TWiG in attendance, planted a new Oak Tree in Jubilee Wood.
It is now a decade since Jubilee Wood was established and which continues to be managed by TWiG.
Jubilee Wood now contains both the Diamond Jubilee Oak (planted in 2012), together with the Platinum Jubilee Oak (planted this week).
Oak trees are one of the most admired British native trees.
It is hoped that the planting of this young tree will bring enjoyment for many in decades to come.
Our photographs show Nina Barbour planting the young tree and a celebratory group image with Nina and Diana Barbour, together with members of TWiG.
