With school holidays in full swing, please be mindful that high temperatures are expected to persist into early next week.
Dr Michael Gregory, regional medical director for NHS England in the North West, said: 'Most people will be enjoying the sunny weather and taking the opportunity to get out and about, so we just want to make sure people have all the information they need to stay safe in the sun by taking precautions to keep well and avoid needing to use NHS services'.
Whilst the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge is a hugely popular go-to destination, the advice it to avoid the sun during the hottest part of the day and plan your physical activities for the earlier part of the day or late afternoon/early evening.
So, minimise risk everyone and drink lots of water, apply lots of sunscreen and wear a hat.
Stay safe.
