During our Walk, Talk and Ride Festival, we featured more recent flood prevention measures which have been completed on the Mill Brook.
At the time of the Festival, the weather was dry with no signs of surface water.
As an update, our image illustrates the flood prevention measures at work just last week during the deluge of rain which hit the north west.
The intention of such measures (in partnership with the Environment Agency, Bolesworth Estate, Tattenhall Wildlife Group and local farmers) is to mitigate flood risk in the centre of Tattenhall where multiple properties are susceptible to flooding.
Some 4,500 cubic metres of water are held back in slowing the flow of the Mill Brook upstream from Tattenhall – put to the test last week!
