Trustees of the Sandstone Ridge were thrilled to welcome former Cheshire Poet Laureate, John Lindley, to the launch of the Walk, Talk and Ride Festival which was held in the Jessie Hughes Village Hall, Eaton, Tarporley, on Friday 13 September (click on image to enlarge).

John, has written extensively about the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge and, whilst Cheshire Poet Laureate, wrote commissioned poems as well as giving and hosting poetry readings and running a number of workshops.

During our upcoming Festival, John will be holding 2 poetry workshops in Tattenhall and in Peckforton.

John read several of his poems relating to the Ridge at the launch and which we have previously featured on our Website CLICK HERE.

The launch event, was also attended by local MP, Aphra Brandreth, our Patron, David Briggs CVO MBE KStJ, several Ward Councillors, Parish Councillors, Event Leaders, as well as Partners and Supporters of the Sandstone Ridge Trust.
