We start 2025 with some farewells.
All Trustees of the Sandstone Ridge Trust are volunteers and it is with a heavy heart that we say some farewells as we start the new year.
Graham Church has been involved in conservation projects as a volunteer across Cheshire and North Wales for >20 years and has been a Trustee of the Sandstone Ridge Trust since November 2012. Outside of work, Graham has a passion for conservation – anything from dry stone walling to the creation of new woodlands and protecting wildlife habitats, to pathway renovation and restoration work along the Sandstone Trail. He also volunteered on several of the Habitats and Hillforts projects led by Cheshire West and Chester Council. Graham was charged with the governance issues relating to our charity. Still working and with 12 years of commitment to the Sandstone Ridge Trust, Graham stepped down at our last AGM. His contribution has been immense and we wish him well.
Alexandra Roberts kindly took on the role of Book-Keeper for the Trust. Keeping us up-to-date and managing the finances and the tranches of monies that we have been successful in obtaining, Alex has always been on hand to ensure that we fulfil all financial requirements. Regrettably, Alex has had to confront some personal health challenges and this has forced her to stand down. Now on the road to recovery, we wish her well in all that is ahead.
And, Millie Chilcott, the Project Assistant we appointed with our success in obtaining UK Shared Prosperity Funding has also stepped down. Having graduated with a First Class Honours in Event Management, it has been an absolute delight to have Millie on the team where she was tasked in supporting event and project management. Millie has just secured a full time position in Newport and we wish her every success with her professional development.
Our thanks to you all.
