The Cheshire Sandstone Ridge is defined by its natural beauty, landscape, heritage and wildlife.
We are offering several events in our upcoming 'Walk Talk and Ride Festival' which runs from 14-22 September and which will allow you to explore an area of the Ridge with which you might not be quite so familiar.
All events are free and are guided by professionals and/or Trustees/Event Leaders.
- Take a look at the forest floor, walk the hills, build dens and toast marshmallows – a perfect opportunity for youngsters to burn off some energy (Event 4: Forest Explorers Family Day – Sunday 15 September or Event 18: Children and Family Event – Saturday 21 September)
- Visit Frodsham 'the northern gateway to the Ridge' and an area which is defined by the geology of the Ridge. Participate in a circular walk on Frodsham Hill, taking in Snidley Moor (Event 15: Frodsham Hill Circular Walk – Friday 20 September)
- How can anyone resist taking a peep at parts of one of our Estates – take in the Rock Walk which will not disappoint (Event 6: Bolesworth Gardens and Rock Walk – Monday 16 September)
- Or, for something completely different, enjoy a full day out and explore the quarries of the northern Sandstone Ridge (Event 5: Quarries of the Northern Sandstone Ridge – Sunday 15 September)
If these don't excite you, the full list of Events (and there are 21) can be seen in our Festival Programme CLICK HERE.
