Friday 11 June 2011, marks the 10th Anniversary of the Sandstone Ridge Trust.

What better way to celebrate our 'birthday' than to reflect on some of our major achievements during the last decade:

  • Archaeological Fieldwalking and Workshop on Eddisbury Hill, 2013
  • Ancient Trees Workshops — Tarporley and Peckforton, 2015
  • The Ridge: Rocks and Springs, 2014-17 (a three-year survey of quarries, wells and graffiti and the publication of our book which includes 9 walks)
  • HLF Transition Project — Cheshire Sandstone Ridge: Towards a Sustainable Future, 2016-18
  • The establishment of our Sandstone Ridge Website, 2017 (the Website provides a platform for our 'Ridge Community' and to the many visitors who enjoy this remarkable landscape and all it has to offer)
  • The creation of 4 circular walks to download and which are available on the Website
  • Kim Atkinson Art Exhibition as part of the Sandstone Ridge Festival, 2017
  • Sandstone Ridge place brand, 2018
  • Sandstone Ridge Partnership
  • Beneath the Ridge, 2018-to present (a survey of caves, shelters and mines and Website articles which we hope will lead to a further publication)
  • Then and Now: Pictorial History (a photographic record of landscape change — in progress)
  • Walk and Ride Festival 2019 (our follow up 2020 Festival was postponed because of the pandemic)
  • A multiplicity of news and documentary articles written by our volunteers, supporters and Trustees and which have regularly appeared on the Website
  • Various illustrated talks to community groups across the Ridge
  • The creation of our Sandstone Ridge Farmer Network

Out thanks to you all.
