The summer holidays are almost upon us and Beeston Castle is a 'go-to' destination right here on the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge.
English Heritage, one of our Partner organisations, is busy preparing for the holiday period.
Kate Potter the Site Manager for Beeston has now left English Heritage — we wish Kate well in the future.
Hannah Warren is currently the interim Site Manager.
Carolyn Hicks, the volunteer co-ordinator, continues to deliver an excellent job with the volunteer team at Beeston.
During May significant repairs were undertaken on the Round House.
A 'Medieval Life' event is taking place at the end of July and we'll keep you posted.
It's also likely that the café at Beeston will be replaced; with a similar building.
The service will still be the same in terms of grab and go; the footprint will be slightly larger, and with a new serving hatch, queue times are likely to be less.
