In glorious September sunshine, our walkers on Event 8, 'An Alternative Sandstone Trail', walked some 10.5km from Pudding Lane, Tiverton, to Rock Farm, Utkinton.

Ably led by David Press, Footpath Officer for Tarporley Parish Council, our participants followed a route which David has devised and which is regarded (by some) to be a complementary alternative to the existing Sandstone Trail route at this location.

The alternative route is undulating, enjoys terrific views, is often less muddy and follows much of central part of the Cheshire Sandstone Ridge.

Thanks to the team from Tarporley (heart of the Ridge) who led this collaborative venture and in support of our Walk, Talk and Ride Festival 2024.
