The Met Office has issued an Amber Warning for parts of Cheshire.

Flood alerts have also been issued for a number of rivers in the County – and yellow weather warnings remain in force for the entire area.

The alert has been issued as heavy rain and thunderstorms have been battering our area.

There is some uncertainty, however, over the amount of rainfall expected and the exact location of these thunderstorms and heavy rain.

River and surface water flooding may affect some areas.

We urge you to remain vigilant and avoid walking and driving through flood water.
