Another couple of images of 'That was Then' and 'This is Now'.

Our black and white image shows children at the Carden Arms (now the Pheasant Inn, Burwardsley).

The sandstone building is now refurbished and currently comprises accommodation for those individuals who might wish to overnight on The Ridge.

The area in which the the children, the horse and the cart are shown, is now devoted to outside seating at the Pheasant Inn.

The views out from The Ridge at this location are spectacular.

We are running a series of 'Then' and 'Now' photographs in the hope that you will respond to our plea.

The Sandstone Ridge Trust is keen to archive as many historical images of The Ridge as can be tracked down and to then record a current image in more or less the same location.

This is to support the production of a 'Pictorial History of the Ridge' which we would wish to progress.

If you can help us in this endeavour then please make contact.

We look forward to hearing from you.
