The Sandstone Ridge Festival 2017 kicked off last week with a spectacular guided walk to Maiden Castle and Bickerton Hill.
About 25 walkers assembled at Pool Lane Car Park, Bickerton, in quite glorious sunshine.
How deceptive was that you cry — the heavens opened and ultimately everyone suffered what can only be described as a torrent of rain!!
That said, Dr Peter Winn, Trustee of the Sandstone Ridge, fascinated everyone with the subtle nuances of his expert knowledge of this beautiful part of our landscape.
